1. Describe in detail what you plan to do for your 30 hours.
I plan to construct a presentation of instructions on how to establish an empathetic relationship with the people in El Monte's community. I specifically chose El Monte due to the fact that it is the city my mentor works at.
2. Discuss how or what you will do to meet the expectation of showing 30 hours of evidence.
I shall keep a log of what I have done in my Senior Project Hours file. I shall also take photos of what I've done and recordings of interviews I plan to conduct.
3. Explain how this component will help you explore your topic in more depth.
This component shall show me the importance of understanding where my patient is coming from. Understanding a patient makes myself a better doctor.
4. Post a log in your Senior Project Hours link and label it "Independent Component 2" log.

Okay...so I am a little confused. You are going to do a presentation on the people of El Monte? Or you are going to research them. I wonder if this will take 30 hours. Are most of her clients El Monte residents? Perhaps so. I like the idea of looking at where patients are coming from and developing practices that meet their needs. Perhaps that is what you mean. You will research and then do some kind of report or presentation of how a pediatrician can best serve this demographic or a similar one. If you need more information, it might be nice to do some other areas and think about the needs/issues/concerns of the different places concerning pediatric care.
